Reign of Rivals

Delete your Reign of Rivals account

Last updated:

This page explains how to delete your Reign of Rivals account and the data linked to it, and what we keep afterwards. You do not need to reinstall the game to ask for deletion.

Uninstalling the game does not delete your account. Use one of the two options below.

Option 1: Delete in the game (fastest)

  1. Open Reign of Rivals.
  2. Tap Settings (the cog button at the top right of the screen).
  3. Scroll down to ACCOUNT / LEGAL and tap ACCOUNT DELETION.
  4. Read the notice, then tap CONFIRM DELETE ACCOUNT.

Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone. The game then goes back to its first screen. If you tap Continue there, the game starts a new, separate kingdom; to stop playing, just close and uninstall the game.

Option 2: Ask us by email (no app needed)

If you no longer have the game, or can't open it:

  1. Email reignofrivals@gmail.com with the subject “Reign of Rivals account deletion”.
  2. Tell us your exact player name as it appeared in the game, and roughly when you last played.
  3. We check the request and reply to confirm when your account is deleted. We aim to finish within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

How we check that it's your account

Player names are visible to everyone in the game, so a name alone doesn't prove an account is yours. To stop anyone deleting someone else's kingdom:

  • If the account was used on any phone in the last 14 days, we won't delete it from an email. Instead we reply with the in-game steps above, so the person who has the game can delete it themselves.
  • If the account hasn't been used on any phone for at least 14 days, we delete it for you.
  • We never send a sign-in code or restore code in reply to a deletion request, and we will never ask for a password (the game doesn't have one).

If the game is still installed on a phone when we delete the account, opening it afterwards starts a new, separate kingdom. Uninstall it if you don't want that.

What gets deleted or removed

  • Your account is closed for good. It can never sign in again. Every sign-in ends and any unused restore codes stop working.
  • Your name is removed. Your player name becomes “Deleted Player” everywhere it appears, including old chat messages, battle and Scout reports, rankings history, Season results, Alliance notices and city names that used your name. Your old names become free for other players to use.
  • Your Alliance place is released.
  • Your own mute and block lists are deleted.
  • Your chat settings (chat language, Auto-Translate and profanity filter) are deleted, and so are any translations of your messages that were made for other players.
  • Device details (phone model and system version) are removed from any bug or cheating reports you sent.
  • Your activity statistics are deleted, and your player ID is removed from our usage records.
  • On your phone, deleting in the game also removes the stored sign-in.

What happens to your land

  • Your starter area is freed when nothing else depends on it. If the only land you hold is your starting area (your Main City and your five starter cities), and no other player's Marches or safety reports involve it, those cities are normally removed when you delete your account, together with your own Marches to or from them. The space is then reused for a new player.
  • Otherwise your cities stay, without your name. If you captured other cities, or another player's March or safety report involves your starter area, your cities stay on the map, no longer linked to any account, until that Season's World is cleaned up (about 30 days after the Season ends).
  • Land you gave up earlier with Fresh Start has already become public neutral land, and it stays that way.

What we keep, and why

Reign of Rivals is a shared world, so some records stay after you delete your account. They no longer carry your name and are no longer linked to any way of signing in, so nobody, including you, can use or restore them.

What we keepWhyHow long
The text of chat and private messages you sent (shown as “Deleted Player”)Other players' conversations would not make sense with messages missingNo fixed end date
Battle and Scout reports involving you, and Season and League results (without your name)They belong to the other players' game history tooNo fixed end date
Cities in the current Season's World that can't be freed (see “What happens to your land”), without your nameThe World is shared, and other players' Marches, reports or captured land may depend on themUntil that World is cleaned up, about 30 days after the Season ends
Your account and player ID (random codes, not your name) and your other game records: items, Gear, Runes, chests, Crowns, quest progress, Inbox mail, League profile, friend list, your Terms acceptance record and redeemed promo codesKept so that rewards, history and other players' records stay consistent; nothing in them names youNo fixed end date
Reports about abuse, bugs or cheating that involve you, including the reported message and a few nearby chat linesSafety and fair play: a record of what was reported and what we didNo fixed end date at present
Server backupsTo recover the game after a failureUntil the backup is deleted. There is no fixed schedule yet.
Server logs, which can include technical details such as IP addressesSecurity and troubleshootingA limited time, until the logs are rotated and overwritten

Uninstalling the game or clearing its data removes everything else the game stored on your phone, such as sound settings.
